Playing DVD/CD on Campus Desktops

Due to changes made to campus desktops, auto play has been disabled for most desktops across campus. This will cause some errors in trying to play DVD's, with common issues being the Desktop not recognizing a DVD or CD is in the tray, or the CD drive saying that there is "0" space free in the drive. The workaround for this is to install and use VLC Media Player. This is a free and safe media player, that is already installed on many PC's on campus. If VLC is NOT already installed, it can be installed from the link below. After VLC is downloaded and installed, the following instructions can be used to play a DVD or CD:

1. Once downloaded and installed, open VLC
2. Go to File > Open disc
3. Select Video_TS folder and click browse to find folder
4. Click to select and highlight the VIDEO_TS folder and click Open
5. The video should now play. Go to Video > Fullscreen, Video > Subtitle Track to adjust settings
