Changing Your Password Using Microsoft 365

 

1. Open your web browser and go to the Outlook web app at https://outlook.com/washjeff.edu

 

 

2. In the top right corner of your screen, click on your profile, and select "view account"

 

3. From this screen, select "change password" under the overview tab

 

4. Enter your old password in the first line, followed by your new desired password once, and then again to confirm. 

  • Allowable passwords are between 12 and 20 characters in length, and must contain characters from three of the following five categories:
    • Uppercase characters of European languages (A through Z, with diacritic marks, Greek and Cyrillic characters)
    • Lowercase characters of European languages (a through z, sharp-s, with diacritic marks, Greek and Cyrillic characters)
    • Base 10 digits (0 through 9)
    • Non-alphanumeric characters: ( ! ~ @ # $ % ^ & * _ - + = ` | \ { } [ ] : ; " ' < > , . ? / )
    • Any Unicode character that is categorized as an alphabetic character but is not uppercase or lowercase. This includes Unicode characters from Asian languages.

5. Hit "submit" and your password will successfully have been changed
