If you are experiencing slow network speeds or connection issues on your iMac, Macbook, iPad, or iPhone your device may be needlessly jumping between W&J's available networks.
The resolve this issue, you'll want to ensure that the WASHJEFF network is the only W&J network listed in your Mac's Preferred networks menu. To check this, simply follow the steps below.

iMac/Macbook

1. Click the wireless symbol on the Mac's top menu bar, and select Open Network Preferences from the Drop-Down menu.

2. On the left hand side of the window that appears, click Wi-Fi. Then click Advanced in the lower right.

3. If it isn't already selected, click the Wi-Fi tab at the top. In the list of preferred networks, select the network you wish to remove and then click the minus (-) button to remove it.
We recommend removing WashJeff-IoT, WashJeff-Guest, eduroam, and Xfinity. This should leave WashJeff as the only available network on campus.

4. Click OK in the bottom right, then Apply in the Network window to save your changes.

iPhone/iPad

  1. From the home screen, choose Settings.
  2. In the settings menu, choose Wi-Fi.
